Swiss luxury jewellery and watch brand Piaget approached Globe’s partnerships team in 2012, looking for a brand ambassador to represent their new high-end Rose collection.
Piaget were keen to use Edith Piaf’s classic La Vie En Rose through the campaign, so thepartnerships team quickly approached Decca, the home of classical music, for an artist to cover the song.
Grammy-nominated Melody Gardot was a perfect fit for the brand, and the brand fit Melody perfectly too.
The idea for the new collection and focus track stemmed from Piaget’s own rose which is cultivated in Ecuador – five thousand of said roses were flown in to Paris for Melody’s video shoot for La Vie en Rose. The track is available on the deluxe version of Melody’s album The Absence and the album booklet featured photos of Melody wearing the Rose collection.
