As part of a year-long campaign with American Airlines, Globe Productions were tasked with building an entertainment and communications platform that helped American Airlines tell its global network story in an engaging and entertaining way. Working closely with UMG’s USA and UK offices, we carefully selected two globally renowned artists to front each of the 2-part series strands. This included multi-platinum selling Jonas Blue from the UK and the highest Latin Grammy award winner of all time, Juanes from Columbia. The series idea was to stage a gig in countries which the chosen artists had never performed in before, taking them to meet fans that they’d never performed for. Each artist then embarked on a tour of our chosen cities. For Jonas it was Hong Kong and for Juanes it was Australia. The content was created to play out on artist and AA social channels as well as inflight entertainment, showing that travel influences their music.
